Come join us at NERAM in Armidale for the ANZAC day long weekend for an enjoyable weekend of ink fuelled shenanigans. A wayzgoose (or wayz-goose, waygoose or wayzegoose) was at one time an entertainment given by a master printer to his workmen each year on or about St Bartholomew's Day (24 August). It marked the traditional end of summer and the start of the season of working by candlelight. Later, the word came to refer to an annual outing and dinner for the staff of a printing works or the printers on a newspaper.
In modern times, the tradition has been adopted by printers as an annual festival in which printers and creatives get together to share skills and bond in the brother and sisterhood of ink.
There’s a huge lineup of events planned! Head over to the NERAM website to learn more and RSVP.
